My Background in Autism
My initial research in neuropsychology and Autism began when I was teaching the first integrative classroom for Autistic children in Marshfield, MA. From my work, I introduced the first use of sign language as a means of communication with autistic children. From this experience, I completed my doctoral dissertation on the topic of Autism, titled “A Description of the Changes of Verbal and Nonverbal, Communicative and Non Communicative Behavior in a Group of Autistic Children.” I then presented this research at the 2nd International Conference on Autism.
