In writing the second edition of Coping With Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, I am still looking for short stories from individuals who are experiencing TBI-related symptoms in the following areas.

  • Sexuality
  • Seizures
  • Attention & Concentration
  • Memory
  • Reasoning and Planning
  • Speech & Language
  • Academic Performance
  • PTSD
  • Drug & Alcohol Abuse
  • Moods & Behaviors
  • Psychiatric Disorders

For more clarity, I only need symptoms relating to sports injuries and blast injuries, everything else is covered in the book. If it is a sports injury what kind and what was the actual incident. AND/OR if there is a treatment you have found effective, please share that as well! Additionally, if you are a caretaker of someone living with an mTBI and would like to share your experience, that is also welcome.

If you are interested in sharing a vignette for the book, I would greatly appreciate your contribution! Please leave a comment (seen only by me) with your contact info so I can get back to you on where to send your story. I am only asking a paragraph or two including a little bit about yourself, your background, your injury, and the symptoms you are experiencing. You do not have to be a writer! Sending bullets is just fine.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from some of you!

Within each person shines an inner light that illuminates our path and is the source of hope. Illness, trauma, suffering and grief can diminish the light and shroud hope. I am a catalyst for hope and change, offering a way to rekindle this inner light.
