Overcoming COVID-19 Using the 5 Prong Approach

5 Prong Approach with Dr. Diane logo. When conventional medicines fail, desperation leads people to explore complementary and alternative healing methods they wouldn’t have considered otherwise. My friend, Jody, experienced this when she became ill. Her struggle with traditional medicine drove her to alternate healing methods that led to overcoming COVID-19 using the 5 Prong Approach . Jody had never been opposed to complementary and/or alternative health methods in the past, but never felt she needed them. This is Jody’s story, from her introduction to our team of brain health experts, to overcoming COVID-19 using the 5 Prong Approach.

Jody experienced chills and high fever for several days. She then developed a cough that came with shortness of breath, wheezing, and fatigue lasting for weeks. All symptoms pointed towards COVID-19, but the test result was negative. Jody’s doctor presumed she had COVID-19 anyway due to the high rate of false negatives. The coronavirus pandemic left Jody unable to visit her doctor in person. Through tele-health appointments she was prescribed three antibiotics to treat presumed pneumonia, along with a cough suppressant, an inhaler, and steroids. She tried them all yet saw no improvement. When we spoke during this time, Jody expressed the extreme fear and exhaustion she felt.

Medications weren’t helping, she couldn’t see her doctor, and Jody was too afraid to visit the hospital if her symptoms worsened.

Reflecting on my own health journey, I reminded her how my 5 Prong Approach came to be. I have a lifetime of positive experience blending traditional, alternative, and complementary treatment methods which have helped me overcome major health obstacles throughout my life. This approach, offered by my integrative team, is how I administer help to countless patients. You can read more about my journey from brain injury to cancer and everything else, here.

Our bodies have an innate ability to heal, but sometimes things get in the way. Belief is one of the obstacles that limit the body’s healing capacity. My 5 Prong Approach treats patients from five interconnected facets: physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and energy. Using this approach, we address all areas, giving the body the best chance at healing and maintaining wellness.

I recommended Jody take Elderberry syrup, honey, ginger and include many anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich foods in her diet. I also connected her with two members of my integrative team of health experts: Clara Diebold , Reiki Master and Energy Balancing Practitioner and Susan Keefe , Classical Homeopath and Shamanic Practitioner.

Clara Diebold , Energy Balancing Practitioner, Reiki Master

Due to the Pandemic, Clara used distance energy balancing sessions to treat Jody – as I am doing too. With a skilled practitioner, distance energy work is as effective as in-person sessions. Jody was amazed, albeit a little skeptical at first, to learn that most traditional healing practices include the ability to do energy work across great distances. Although Clara has been providing distance sessions to her clients for many years, the need has grown during the pandemic.

Jody was grateful to receive distance energy work and attributes these sessions to her recovery. She felt the energy work deepened her spirituality, providing clarity and peace during uncertain times.

Quote from Clara:

“Being able to treat from a distance has always been a useful feature of energy work. I believe that energy methods now have a unique role to play, given the need for voluntary isolation to slow the progress of COVID-19. I greatly enjoy this work and have found that distance clients receive benefits equal to those receiving hands-on sessions. My training is in Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and Eden Energy work. All these methods routinely provide effective distance treatment. Distance sessions can be performed for animals, as well as for people. It is also possible to bring healing light into a situation, a project, an event, or even a place using distance treatment procedures.”– Clara Diebold

Clara practices several forms of energy healing, including Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu and/or Eden Energy Work, and techniques for emotional processing.

She is a Reiki Master trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition by John and Lourdes Gray, and Brian Brunius.

Susan Keefe , Certified Classical Homeopath and Shamanic Practitioner

Jody also worked with Susan Keefe for homeopathy. Homeopathy is an alternative health modality used worldwide for over 200 years. It is becoming more understood in the US and as understanding grows, so does its use. Working homeopathically and treating physical, mental and emotional symptoms simultaneously enables the client to return to his/her whole best health.

Jody had never used homeopathic remedies before this illness. She was thankful to learn about homeopathy and grateful it helped her overcome her symptoms.

Quote from Susan:

“As a Homeopath I recognize that each person manifests illness in a unique and slightly different way, so two people with the same illness will not necessarily receive the same treatment. I choose a remedy that matches a person’s unique symptom profile – including physical, mental and emotional symptoms. The therapy not only works without producing side effects; but is also much healthier for mind and body. Homeopathy views symptoms of illness as normal responses of the body as it attempts to regain health. Simply put, a homeopathic dose enhances the body’s normal healing and self-regulatory processes”. – Susan Keefe

I am overjoyed to see the effects my 5 Prong Approach has had on Jody’s life. She has experienced its effectiveness at healing and restoration firsthand. Jody is an example of the power these complementary and alternatives methods hold. She is grateful to have worked with experts like Clara and Susan. Jody attributes staying out of the hospital and her renewed health to the treatments she received.

Both Clara and Susan have been instrumental in my own health journey as well. Clara has treated my chronic pain, brain tumor and liver issues through energy healing. Meanwhile, Susan treated me post-brain injury and helped me overcome symptoms of Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) and chronic pain. Both practices complement each other and made recovery possible for me.

There are many other skilled members of my integrative team. These specialists are the only practitioners I have needed to maintain my health. Alongside their treatments, I use Bach Flowers and perform Neurofeedback on myself. These effective and drug-free treatments address many conditions and symptoms. Used in conjunction, they can treat everything from back pain to cancer.
