What is the Muscle Release Technique?

Massage Therapy Muscle Release TechniqueThe ability to relax your body and mind, and become pain free is a wonderful gift for the New Year. Many people find that when your muscular health is good, your mental health follows suit!

Along with therapeutic massage, I also use *Muscle Release Technique™ in my practice. Not only do you receive a fabulous massage, but you also reap the pain-free benefits of muscle release.

The Muscle Release TechniqueSM is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement, and breath that enables the massage therapist to provide, in many cases, relief from pain in a single treatment. With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain begins immediately.

Several different therapeutic principles are used in Muscle Release Technique™. The primary idea is that the muscles, as the supportive network of the body, contribute directly to overall health. With that being said, any physical therapy program needs to address the body as a whole, with a focus on muscular health. When muscles are injured, this can cause a loss of flexibility, chronic pain, aches, stiffness, and other problems. However, if those issues are addressed and tended to properly, clients can experience considerable relief and reach a fast recovery.

It’s time to “Relax and Carry On”, and take care of YOU. Give yourself the gift of relaxation and freedom from pain, and get into the habit of massages every month!

*The Muscle Release TechniqueSM was developed by Michael Young, a massage therapist who focuses on injuries, especially those caused by repetitive strain.

Within each person shines an inner light that illuminates our path and is the source of hope. Illness, trauma, suffering and grief can diminish the light and shroud hope. I am a catalyst for hope and change, offering a way to rekindle this inner light.
