The Zen of Water
A friend of mine wrote this poem and won First Prize in the National Poetry Contest in Writer’s Journal. I liked it so much I asked if I could use it on the blog 🙂.
The Zen of Water
Water does not resist,Thus it is never harmed.. Its power is enormousBecause it is true to its nature..Endlessly changing,It always returns to itself..It finds its essenceBy forever letting go.. Lacking desires,It is constantly enriched..Knowing neither sorrow nor joy,Its ecstasy is eternal.. Because it does not cling to itself,It permeates all living things.. When all things die,Water remains..It teaches us fulfillmentBy letting go of ego.
