What is Neurology?
Neurology is the field of medicine that focuses on nervous system conditions. The nervous system is a complex system that regulates activities throughout the body. The nervous system is in charge of functions like coordinating movement and processing the input of the senses.
The nervous system has two major parts, the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS consists of the brain and the spinal cord. The PNS consists of all the nerves that lie outside of the CNS.
