About Bach Flower Remedies
Bach Flower Remedies, also called Bach Flower Essences, were developed in 1926 by Edward Bach, MD, a physician, bacteriologist, and homeopath. His thirty-eight Bach Flower remedies each include a specific flower essence that works in a way similar to homeopathy. Dr. Diane® is a certified Bach Flower practitioner.
What Are the Bach Flower Remedies?
In medicine there is allopathic and homeopathic. Allopathic mean against and homeopathic means the same. An example of allopathic is when you have an infection, you take an anti- bacterial medicine. If you are depressed you take an anti-depressant. However, to prevent the flu, you actually take the flu strain. Or if you have allergies to bees, you would take the bee venom. These are examples of homeopathic.
Bach (pronounced, like the composer) Flower Remedies are a homeopathic. The purpose of Dr. Bach developing these flower essences was to support the patient’s fight against illness by addressing the symptoms such as anxiety and, racing thought. Bach Flower Remedies are NOT a substance that is related to homeopathic medicine. Rather, Bach Flowers is part of the human energy field, which deal with the frequency and harmonics of the body, similar to Energy Medicine and Polarity.
How Bach Flowers Work?
All living things including rocks, which as far as we know are not living, emit an electromagnetic field. The definition of a electromagnetic field is a field of force that consists of both electric and magnetic components, resulting from the motion of an electric charge and containing a definite amount of electromagnetic energy. This electromagnetic field can be measured by meters. More subtle energy fields are seen in Energy Healing, Reiki and Qigong.
Dr. Bach discovered that certain flowers emit frequencies that affect specific symptoms, such as anxiety (remedy: Aspen) or racing thoughts (remedy: White Chestnut), and known fears (remedy: Mimulus). From his training in homeopathy he discovered that each of the 38 flowers essences, which are the frequencies, match specific symptoms.
