Other Energy Healing Therapies We Offer

In addition to Reiki and Acupuncture, we offer these other Energy Healing Therapies that promote health and wellness. If you have questions about what Therapy is best for your specific needs, please call us (800) 500-9971.

Qigong

Qigong is a system of exercise developed in China that incorporates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intentions to balance the energy in the body. Unlike Reiki, which channels the universal energy, Qigong channels one’s own energy, like in meditation. To practice Qigong is to cultivate energy. It is used to improve health and has been known to help people alleviate pain and stress. Each of the Qigong practices (can be martial, medical, or spiritual) all involve a posture, breathing techniques, and mental focus. The purpose of the therapy is to either increase or circulate one’s energy, or use the energy to cleanse and heal the body. The movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.

Qigong is similar to reiki in that it also involves re-aligning the energy through the body’s meridians and chakras, and is also like polarity therapy in that it relies on the polarity of the body. However, Qigong does not utilize the guides that reiki does. Qigong is used for clearing up the chakras and opening oneself and oneself’s energies up.

Dr. Diane® has had the unique opportunity to train with three spiritual healers while visiting Bali. Dr. Diane® can help you to use your intuitive energies to sharpen your senses. She studied with the infamous Jackurai (Eat, Pray, Love), and he taught her about Qigong, Balinese Training, the spirit, and the universe.

After suffering from major brain injuries, Dr. Diane was able to use this opportunity to learn about energy healing, both for her own means of healing and to help others who have found themselves in a similar situation. Qigong has helped her to regain her life, it can be used to help you regain yours too. However, you do not need to have had a brain injury to benefit from Qigong. The therapy itself can help and benefit anyone, especially those who wish to live a more balanced, peaceful, and centered life.

Qigong can be used to help increase concentration, reduce stress, reduce physical pain, even help to embrace one’s desire to help others.

Oprah’s website also explores the healing powers of energy treatments such as Qigong.

Polarity Therapy

Polarity therapy is a natural healthcare system based on the idea that each individual has an internal blueprint that forms the bases of every aspect of life, including personal achievement and illness. The goal of this system is to target blocks in an individual’s internal energy and treat the consequential symptoms by getting the person more in tune with their internal blueprint. When the body has returned to a balanced state, it is better able to heal itself.

According to Nancy Risley, an expert in the field, polarity is a “…map of the relationships of our entire being”. In polarity therapy, both physical and emotional systems are intertwined, and symptoms of one may manifest in the other. For example, acute emotional pain may evolve into physical disease if left unaddressed. Nancy recommends dealing with these symptoms as early as possible (“nipping it in the bud”) to prevent a block in energy from one side of the body to another, and emotional symptoms from becoming physical, and vice versa. This is polarity therapy’s main goal. During a usual session of polarity therapy, the polarity therapist will first get a client background and history. They will then ask the client to fully relax their body and mind. Once the client is relaxed, they begin searching for energy blockages within the client, and then aim to repair those energy blockages. Quick polarity therapy techniques can include something as simple as crossing one body part over to the other, such as crossing one leg over the other so that it sits on the opposite knee.

Nancy Risley has noted that polarity therapy can especially benefit the types of people who are “givers”. This therapy especially allows for those kinds of people to take care of themselves.

Balinese Training

While participating in team sports, this type of training is very useful in increasing your awareness of other participants and therefore protecting yourself and increasing your performance. Overall health can be improved by using your energies to assist the body’s natural healing process.

While in Bali, Dr. Diane® also studied Balinese Training under Luh Ketut Suryani MD, PhD and Peter Wrycza, PhD (authors of “Living in the Spirit”). Since then, energy healing such as Balinese Training has become such an important part of her recovery process, that she has incorporated energy into her 5 Prong Approach.
